1: Under Armor : Under Armor is a must for staying warm during outdoor workouts this winter.

2: NorthFace Etip Gloves: These gloves are super cool! With them you can use your touchscreen  devices WITHOUT having to take off your gloves! Imagine being able to make calls, check movie times and play music all while keeping your hands warm. So cool!

3: Nike Free+5 : Aren't these cute?! Yeah we thought so too! :)

4: Moving Comfort Sports Bra: These stylish sports bras are great for the ladies with a little 'extra' on top. It's seam-free interior cups were specially designed to shape the girls and give them extra support.

5: Beats By Dre Headphones: These headphones are amazing! Not only do they make music sound 10x better but they also stay in your ears! No more fumbling around with your headphones while you work out! Yes! 

6: Water Bobble There are water bottles and then there are WATER bottles. A combination of green thinking and beautiful design, these little jugs allow you to filter your drinking water without filling up landfills with single serve water bottles.

"Healthify" your Thanksgiving


Estimates for the average Thanksgiving meal are anywhere from 2,500 to a whopping 4,500 calories! And, since the average American doesn't exercise it's no wonder people pack on excess pounds at this time of year. So, before you head to your holiday meal take a moment to create a game plan that favors your waistline.

Here are some great tips to help you indulge without sabotaging your fitness success and packing on unwanted pounds:

  • Use a smaller plate. Cleaning your plate won't have the same impact as eating from a full sized plate and you'll still be able to please those "feed-you-to-love-you" relatives.
  • Make half your plate veggies. Your body will love the healthy nutrients and you'll fill up for less calories. Just be careful of goos and sauces. 
  • Only put one starch or carb on your plate.  Whether green bean casserole or candied yams, indulge sparingly. 
  • Limit yourself to one dessert. You can make yourself a "sampler" plate but remember this is a TREAT. The bit-sized servings should look the same as a single serving of one dessert when put together.
  • Walk it off. Resist the urge to hunker down on the couch after your meal. Take the family out for a walk to burn some calories and create some fun memories.

ATMOS PREVIEW: DAY ONE


Last night was the first night of our preview classes for ATMOS: Fusion Metabolic Conditioning and man did we have fun!



Our ATMOS classes  combine high intensity work with low intensity periods of recovery so you get more done in a shorter period of time. Not only can you get more bang for your buck DURING your workout time in terms of calories burned, but your overall metabolism can increase so that you burn more calories even when you're NOT working out so your body has no choice but to change and get better!





One of the great things about ATMOS is that it's FUN so you definitely won't get bored with the fusion of various training modalities.
